YETI Just Introduced a Cocktail Shaker (With Universal Lid) and Stackable Coffee Cups

YETI is one of, if not the most, influential consumer brand in drinkware right now. Their can coolers, tumblers, and other products have been copied to some extent (including occasions where YETI turned to legal action to stop copycats).

Over time, YETI has ridden the wave of its own popularity by branching out into other product categories adjacent to drinkware, such as kitchen goods that double as outdoor products like cast iron pans, and bags. Its latest product release goes back to the core of its drinkware business, but brings a touch of elegance to its camp-ready aesthetic, or perhaps injects that heavy-duty appeal to the more delicate world of coffee and cocktails.

The new product launch includes a cocktail shaker that looks a lot like the classic Rambler tumbler, cute little stackable espresso cups, and stackable coffee mugs.

Drinks will stay hot or cold, thanks to YETI’s double-wall construction, but what really stands out about the product line is the interchangeability. The cocktail shaker’s lid works on other Rambler-style products, so campers can bring their tumbler for water during the day, and shake up a cocktail around the fire at night. You can purchase the lid separately for that very purpose.

It also transforms a product that consumers would typically see in more fragile porcelain or ceramic, turning a dainty espresso cup into a darn-near bullet-proof caffeination vessel. The company already did it for wine, trading fragile glass for stainless steel wine tumblers.

YETI’s customers are loyal. If they already own a Rambler product, they’ll likely want to get this shaker just for the lid.

This isn’t just about YETI, though. Yes, YETI exists within the promotional products space, and distributors can use YETI products for premium-branded campaigns to create a high-value promotion the end-user will certainly want to keep.

But, other drinkware promotions can use this idea of interchangeability to use products that complement one another and exist together under a unified look.

And speaking of that look, it also indicates that people want something other than breakable material for their morning coffee. It already exists for travel mugs and tumblers for coffee, but now something as small as an espresso cup or a small mug can feature that sturdier construction without feeling like it’s sacrificing any style points.
